Purpose and goal
Based on the pre-study "Storstadsöverenskommelse för cirkulärt byggande" 2030 from 2020, this project will take the theoretical results of the study to practical implementation. With a focus on the construction, real estate and civil engineering industries, this project will primarily address challenges and possible solutions regarding procurement requirements, policy instruments and innovation for Gothenburg, Malmö and Stockholm. The overall goal is increased long-term upscaling in circular construction with systematic participation of concerned stakeholders.
Expected effects and result
Challenges and solutions in circular construction will be identified and taken further. The results will be disseminated through a public, user-friendly and easily accessible toolbox for industry stakeholders, which will be a continuation of the existing platform CCBuild. The toolbox is expected to lower the threshold for actors to set circular requirements, strengthen procurement and municipal instruments in the work of transition and enable cities to follow the same regulations and start from similar conditions
Planned approach and implementation
The project is based on collaboration with the industry as well as cooperation and exchange of experience between the city of Gothenburg, Malmö and Stockholm. This is obtained through systematic participation of the actors through. Concretely, the project consists of five work packages, which in turn concern: circular procurement requirements; policy instruments and innovation; capacity arena - toolbox where knowledge can be shared; The city nodes - where the cities raise important issues and share successful solutions; and project management and communication.
