Important results from the project

IPercept Technology has the ambition to become the leader in the sustainable growth for industrial machinery utilization by delivering its novel predictive maintenance technology for the benefit of manufacturing organizations and for the next generations. The provided grant enabled us to bridge the gap due to longer time-to-market and sales cycles for our B2B deep-tech startup. During the project, we managed to accelerate the growth of our company and through active customer engagement make important steps towards verifying our business model and pricing strategy.

Expected long term effects

The Projects most important results can be summarized around three points. First, the development of a new plug-and-play product version was achieved. Second, we built a strong sales in spite of the Covid-19 pandemic and got engaged with the first customers, providing important verification aspects for the business model and pricing strategy. Third, we successfully grew and diversified our team including business development and sales competencies combined now with the tech background of the founders.

Approach and implementation

The biggest challenge which the project-team encountered during implementation was due to the unpredictable effects of Covid-19 pandemic. The nature of sales significantly changed for large manufacturing enterprises during the project. We encountered a significant slow down in the beginning due to layoffs and the closing down of factories, which we compensated with intensified product development activities during this period. But fortunately, customers got used to online meetings which brought a new way of engaging customers, which helped us to succeed with our goals.
