Important results from the project
The project intended to identify which platforms might need insurance. What data we could extract from these platforms, and how we could do this in a manner consistent with GDPR. Based on these data, we have built an algorithm for risk calculation and a restful API, that is the contact area for the platform´s purchasing process.
Expected long term effects
We have had contact with more platforms than expected in the verticals we identified based on risk categories. Ie, Sharing of things, sharing of transport, sharing of casco (boat, motorhome) sharing of holiday homes and subletting. We have chosen to proceed with the sharing of transport as a first use-case where we ran algorithm and api in a test environment together with the platform, with good results. Still to see what data we can reuse in the other verticals and how we open the api truly is to other verticals.
Approach and implementation
Stockholm School of Economics delivered the analysis of the market, which has formed the basis for the verticals that we later identified from a risk perspective. We have then had a joint dialogue on which data is needed to secure the process in each vertical. In order to ensure GDPR compatibility, we have taken the law firm Magnusson to check how personal data is used and with which exception the process is best motivated.
