Important results from the project
The purpose of the project is to be to able to progress further with Innovosens´s techincal development and testing, through thorough evaluation of the sensors and electronics. Through the 6 months Innovosens diligently used the funding more and more technical development and testing of the sensors. Considered design of the form factor considering the users safety, which we have achieved to an extent. We have conducted an extensive Patent and FTO Analysis. We have also been in contact with the relevant CRO´s and have identified the right regulatory path for CE mark of Innovosens´s MVP.
Expected long term effects
From the SMASH´s sensors perspectives, we have been able to capture, Temporal changes in sweat lactate and glucose levels were measured over time, during 20 min of indoor fitness cycling. The continuous monitoring of the amperometric sweat lactate response from the 10 subjects with the LOx-modified flow detector, showed a sharp increase of the current signal as the sweat sample enters and fills the detector reservoir. We have learnt that we needed to fix the electronics as the electronics need to be placed closed to the body. Which resulted in a robust electronics design.
Approach and implementation
During the Feasibility Study we started the analysis of different product concepts, by keeping three requirements at the center: 1) Robustness 2) Usability 3) Cost of production. Along with these points, we considered even ease of integration of the sensor, repeatability, durability and an Industrial design approach which would remain integral to the overall product design process. The whole design and development process will be pursued to be in compliance with ISO-13485 design management. With further implementation and assessment of the changed sensors are being performed now.
