Important results from the project
The project has laid the foundation for continued product development and commercialization through strategic collaborations. Through iterative development, testing and evaluation of several design alternatives, key areas for improvement have been identified and development risks have been reduced. Four different design versions have been produced, as well as two physical prototypes.
Expected long term effects
The project has created valuable synergies through collaborations with strategic partners, which have added expertise in business development, commercialization, materials technology and product design. External support and specialist knowledge have strengthened decision-making and contributed to focusing development on key areas for improvement.
Approach and implementation
The project was carried out with a focus on CAD modeling, prototype development, market research and business modeling. The project developed mainly according to plan. However, some activities, such as field tests, customer interviews and workshops, have had to be postponed to a later phase. An unexpected challenge was that the prototype was heavier than planned, which identified the need for continued development of the design and material selection. The cooperation worked well.
