Important results from the project
The purpose of the project has been to develop a technology demonstrator for IoT-driven simulations for predictive maintenance purposes. The target has been to reach TRL7 which has been achieved.
Expected long term effects
The technology demonstrator has been completed and two commercial pilot project has recently been sold in connection with the project completion. We expect further projects during the coming years, also internationally, and EDRMedeso plan to hire 1-2 people per year to further develop the concept.
Approach and implementation
At an early stage it was clear that the time scales for the industrial and the academic work was differing significantly. Hence, EDRMedeso have focused on a quick industrialisation approach but with an open architecture such that LiU research findings can be applied at a later stage. The collaboration has therefore been somewhat focused on interfaces between the industrial architecture and future application of LiU research findings.
