Venture The strategic innovation programme for the Internet of Things

Purpose and goal

The aim of the project is to internationalize IoT Sweden´s operations by creating a platform for exchange of experiences and innovation (innovation and experience exchange platform) where we systematically can test Swedish solutions in international environments as well as international solutions in Sweden to ensure / create a prerequisite for global relevance and interoperability.

Expected results and effects

The project will begin work on creating the following results: A network of contacts for all hubs to share A test bed for communication solutions based on LoRa and an IoT platform based on FIWARE Market intelligence of events in Latin America that are of interest to the hubs Offer for organizations and companies from Latin America about knowledge-building and the opportunity to test their solutions in our IoT hubs to see how they scale across countries. A conference to showcase the results of cooperation Several demonstrations of locally adapted IoT solutions

Planned approach and implementation

It will take several years to establish an innovation and cooperation area through a strategic project and therefore the benefit needs to be evaluated annually. We focus on a smaller number of areas of cooperation to begin with. These we can quickly establish a working relationship around. This means that we will continue an environmental monitoring initiative that has already begun to expand the project to other areas in the following year. Therefore, mainly 3 hubs are involved during the first year, LoV-IoT, Digital Water Quality Monitoring, and Smart and Connected City.
