Important results from the project

Due to a change of ownership at the pilot customer, some changes needed to be made to the project. We needed to start at an earlier stage in the process than planned and convince new staff and new decision-makers, which takes time and resources from both sides. Despite this, we made progress in convincing them of the potential of the technology and plan to continue doing so even after this project, to get closer to commercial use. Although the initial goal was to reach full commercial use.

Expected long term effects

In the longer term, the results that have been produced during the project can be incredibly rewarding and important for Mareld. The results contribute with proof of the potential of our technology, a further development of the technology itself and, above all, big steps towards commercial use in several segments of the food industry.

Approach and implementation

The first step was to collect image data from tests they have run with a the elderly prototype. Product samples were then collected from those tested in our latest set, in-house, to verify and validate the data collected with the previous prototype. The results from this can then be used to justify commercial use of Mareld´s technology. In parallel with the technical work, business discussions were also held to better understand customer needs and business opportunities.
