Important results from the project
The purpose of the project was to continue validation of Reddo´s patent-pending technology for more sustainable and energy-efficient sorbtion dehumidifiers and to complete initial go to market preparations. The project aimed to validate the technology for both professional water damage restoration purposes and fixed installations, such as crawl spaces, comparing Reddo´s technology to existing technology in tests.
Expected long term effects
The project has developed two new prototypes and tested them with good results. In remediation of water-damaged wooden joist floor construction, 26% savings were achieved. Testing in fixed installations had to be postponed to next summer. To prepare for market dialogue, a draft agreement for license manufacturing has been prepared.
Approach and implementation
The project started off by building a new prototype of Reddo´s dehumidifier and floor test rigs. While tests for professional water damage restoration were carried out in a laboratory setting, suitable objects for testing in fixed installations were identified and another prototype of the dehumidifier was built. In dialogue with lawyers, a draft agreement has been written to enable license manufacturing if this becomes relevant.
