Project duration November 2021 - November 2023
Status Completed
Venture Strategic innovation program SIO Grafen
Call SIO Grafen - Barriers and challenges for graphene innovations

Important results from the project

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** objective of this project was to identify the companies´ needs at different phases of graphene innovation for a systematic mapping of available resources in Sweden, including testbeds, competences and infrastructures. The project also aimed to identify the need for training and a formal network in the area.

Expected long term effects

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The project met the goals according to plan and has evaluated several potential business cases as well as submitted project applications for further product development. RISE and Linköping University organized an open workshop and study visit to ABB´s robot workshop (external). A preliminary industry-academia network has been established, which has been and will continue to benify graphene innovations, especially for SMEs to lower financial risk during business cases evaluation for commercial applications.

Approach and implementation

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** This project resulted in close collaboration within the consortium and beyond. We have reduced the financial, technical and practical barriers for companies in the project who want to scale up their product concepts to pilot or demonstration prototypes through 3D printing. A mapped testbed platform in the SIO graphene program´s website has reduced and will continue to reduce barriers to graphene innovation regarding standardization, characterization and occupational/environmental risk impact.
