Important results from the project
** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** Cling Systems is leading the development of the first intelligent market platform for end-of-life electric vehicle batteries. With this project, decentralized battery testing processes have been identified and demonstrated for the categorization of end-of-life electric vehicle batteries for recycling and other life cycles. Scalable methods for generating health reports for battery packs, battery modules and battery cells have been developed and identified.
Expected long term effects
Methods for functional decentralized battery testing are identified and categorized into the main categories: safety in handling and transport and performance and health assessment. In this categorization, simple methods such as visual inspection, insulation and voltage testing are used, but also more advanced methods such as BMS reading and model-based electrochemical impedance spectroscopy.
Approach and implementation
During the project, visits were made to partners and potential partners such as car assemblers, testing institutes and instrument manufacturers. Tools and methods were discussed, demonstrated and evaluated together. As a results of this work, new collaborations between Cling and companies in the EU and the Nordics have also been established within the framework of decentralized battery testing.
