Purpose and goal
The purpose of the project is to strengthen and deepen a long-term collaboration between the Region Örebro County and Örebro University. The objectives of the project are to develop and use new and improved methods for usability assessment of healthcare information systems. These methods can be used in implementation and realisation of benefits in healthcare.
Expected results and effects
Expected results and effects of the project are that Region Örebro County uses research-based and effective methods for evaluating healthcare information systems, where the evaluation results contribute to increased usability for healthcare professionals and patients. Increased usability contributes positively to safety, efficiency and a good working environment in healthcare. The expected results and effects for Örebro University are that the researchers further develop relevant expert knowledge and scientific publications which strengthen the eHealth research field.
Planned approach and implementation
The working methods of the UUU project are based on a model where two researchers and two business experts form a team and work together in "professional pairs", a working model that has proved to be successful in multidisciplinary cooperation. The collaborative form provides support for the healthcare organization to develop new knowledge and become more research-based while at the same time research becomes more relevant for its target area.
