Important results from the project
The aim of the project was to further develop the Checheza platform for reading, writing and math learning for children in low-income countries, to expand the content, and to test and evaluate marketing channels on a slightly larger scale to reach our first 10,000 users. The quantitative targets were not reached, as we met greater resistance than expected in integrating new content on the platform. Therefore, we have worked to simplify integration of content and started the creation of our own content. We have tested and evaluated marketing channels on a smaller scale with good results.
Expected long term effects
We have worked hard for new content partnerships. It has been difficult, but we now know what partners want and can do, and thus what we need to achieve for Checheza to become a content-rich learning platform. Specifically, we have now 1. simplified the process of integrating content, 2. started to create our own content and 3. formulated a clearer value proposition for partners. We have also built up a large catalogue of and established relationships with potential partners. The project has given us concrete figures for marketing costs, and we have also adjusted our business model.
Approach and implementation
Overall, we have carried out the project according to plan, with some changes: - due to the pandemic, we have not been able to test with users and work in local partnerships, but have focused on other marketing channels and ways to collect feedback. - due to adversity in securing content partners, we have changed the strategy towards creating some own content. Due to delays caused by this, among other things, we have not been able to implement the last steps in the plan. We have, however, been able to use adversity and lessons learned to test new ways and methods in most cases.
