Purpose and goal
Cribble has the ambition to launch a construction toy that challenge creativity and construction. A lot of construction toys are niched to boys, and we want to enable construction toys for girls too, in order to minimize the gap in spatial cognition between girls and boys. During this project we have launched Cribble on a test market where the pilot production was sold out. We have collected feedback from the users and 94 % were very satisfied or satisfied with the products, and they would also recommend Cribble to a friend. The products are also CE certified and patented.
Expected results and effects
We have reached our targets with pilot production, test market and certification, and also validated our product on the market. We have several proofs that Cribble is an attractive product on the market: - Pilot production was sold out and 94 % of the users are very satisfied or satisfied. - Cribble is launched in stores - Successful events with interested users - Selected as Design talents at Formex Design Fair in January 2019 - Investments and loans - Continuous sales in own e-commerce We have created a strong foundation to reach our long term targets to challenge the traditional toys.
Planned approach and implementation
The purpose of this project was to validate the market attraction of Cribble, and this was done by launching Cribble on a test market with paying consumers. The products were delivered during summer, and after that feedback was collected in order to create a perfect market fit for the official launch. We adjusted design, size and price in order to fulfil market requirements. Cribble has also achieved necessary certificates to launch in stores and own e-commerce. We have cooperated with partners, customers and users in order to prepare products for launch.
