Important results from the project

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The project aimed to develop a cost-effective E-band plate antenna with high antenna gain based on Fereshtetec technology, which is a highly sought-after product, as well as to develop and build an automated special machine needed for the realization of the technology. Expected long term effects

The project resulted in a 38dBi plate antenna measuring 121X117X7.8 mm and a bandwidth covering the entire E-band frequency range; in addition, an automated special machine that was needed for manufacturing design and was built and tested successfully. During the project, a patentability analysis was also carried out which indicated great opportunities to patent the innovation.

Approach and implementation

The work on all three objectives was started simultaneously, an antenna was designed and manufactured and it later was tested in an external lab. At the same time, a special machine with a high production capacity was designed and built with good results. A very detailed description of the technology and the antenna structure has also been established which was then used in a patentability assessment carried out by a patent office which showed great opportunities to patent the technology.
