Important results from the project
The purpose and objective of the project are to form a completely new way to help consumers make sustainable choices and materially increase the competitive advantage for businesses that contribute to a sustainable transition. Gokind has through extensive user testing completed the development of the next gen. sustainability platform; an application where consumers can screen & compare companies they buy from. Commercial partnerships have been formed as part of the project and angel investors from high positions e.g. within Google have been secured.
Expected long term effects
Within the project, we have established a methodology for collecting and packaging sustainability data where usability for the end-user/consumer is in focus. As of today, with the hundreds of users who use our service, the solution provides a sustainability coverage as high as 70% of all the consumption choices our users make in their lives. By distributing this sustainability data to consumers and giving them easy ways to initiate changes in their consumption, the project result has a lasting impact on consumers, the companies affected by the changes, their suppliers/supply chain.
Approach and implementation
The project was carried out in close contact with our users. By having short development cycles during the project & ongoing user tests, we were able to develop & change the service based on user feedback & data showing how users actually used our application. The same methodology has been used in our business development. We have in partner talks continuously presented different business solutions that we can offer and based on feedback from these partners/potential partners we have been able to form a more robust business plan, with more revenue sources identified.
