Important results from the project

The purpose of the project was to make it possible for municipalities to present non-profits and opportunities for volunteering within the local community. Together with Ekerö municipality, we have developed "Engagera mera" - a user-friendly digital platform that brings together activities, volunteer assignments and local non-profits in a simple and user-friendly way. We have reached 100 municipalities and are in dialogue with several municipalities about implementing the solution locally in their municipalities.

Expected long term effects

We achieved a majority of the project´s goals. The platform is functional, user-friendly and has strengthened opportunities for local non-profits to reach out to residents with volunteering opportunities, activities and information about the non-profits. We launched a platform in Malmö with 124 affiliated non-profits. Unfortunately, we didn´t reach the target with the percentage of added non-profits in Ekerö, due to the fact that the implementation time was too short and that some non-profits didn´t see a need at the moment or wanted to raise the issue at their annual meetings.

Approach and implementation

The setup and implementation went well despite some delays with the development. The goals were well founded and both the project group and the reference group were engaged and contributed. The activities were well thought out and could be carried out according to schedule and budget.
