Purpose and goal
The purpose of the project has been to explore ways to eliminate waste from diapers. How big a problem waste from is diapers has become even clearer to us during the project The aim of the project was to evaluate the business model for circular diapers as a service by analysing the market, customer behaviour and testing the German company DYCLE´s model in a micro-test. All the parts of the project have gone well and the project has received a lot of positive response and attention
Expected results and effects
The project has given a good first understanding of the Swedish market and the international companies, products and services being offered today There is a great interest from parents, partners and the public for the project and circular diapers as a service even if people want to understand how much environmental benefit this solution has in comparison with fabric and conventional diapers The project has identified clear obstacles that need to be met in the form of product, service and system design for circular diapers as a service to become a sustainable and profitable business
Planned approach and implementation
The success of this project has been to learn from someone who already delivers diapers as a service through DYCLE and to immediately involve the customer (parents) through workshops, dialogue in social media, pilot where 10 families tested for two weeks and by sending out diapers for another 10 parents. The learning that this did gave would be hard to get from a desk study As we analysed existing products and companies where our cooperation with the Högskolan väst and the student who makes her bachelor thesis valuable as it created additional learning and perspectives
