Call Circular flows - a call within circular biobased economy (pre-studies)

Purpose and goal

The aim of the project has been to identify possibilities for the business sector in Skåne to work with circular business models and thereby to facilitate the adaption to a circular Skåne. The company Ecophon has been supported in finding circular solutions and business models, a circular economy network has been started and several other activities, like two conferences, four workshops and two presentations to raise awareness about circular economy has been carried out.

Expected results and effects

The project shows that circular business models are possible and profitable. It also shows that the business sector is interested in learning more about circular economy, especially bigger companies and companies with a focus on sustainability. It has been more difficult to attract smaller companies. A great interest has been shown in meeting, learning more and exchanging experiences on circular economy. Therefore, the network that has been started will continue after the project is finished.

Planned approach and implementation

The project has focused on the business sector but public organisations has also been involved, for example in the network and conferences. The mix of participants has been appreciated and led to more knowledge and cooperation. How to work with circular economy in a concrete way has interested participants the most. We believe that this is important to continue to focus on in future projects.
