Important results from the project
Yes, the project has provided the parties with knowledge about needs, boundaries, eligibility requirements and the design of different types of competence checks, such as authorization systems and personal certification. The project has also developed a basis for what a personal certification could look like regarding the regulations to cover, competencies, what costs it would entail, etc. A complete solution will be relevant if the MSB introduces personal certification in the general councils.
Expected long term effects
If personal certification is mentioned as a way to meet the requirements in MSB´s upcoming update of general advice regarding flammable goods and specifically hydrogen, the project is expected to contribute to a faster availability of personal certification for personnel who perform installation, repair or maintenance work on hydrogen facilities on the market. Another long-term effect may be new collaborations between the project´s parties as it has led to the identification of new challenges.
Approach and implementation
Meetings every two weeks have been the basis for knowledge sharing about needs, boundaries and control methods. Opinions have often diverged, which has enriched the project. The project has visited several parties for joint workshops. A large number of meetings with stakeholders such as YH education, component suppliers and industries with hydrogen installations. The project has sent out a survey and conducted analyses of policy, etc. Partial results presented at the Hydrogen Conference 2024.
