Important results from the project

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** By joining together corrugated cardboard, we can create innovative packaging that eliminates material waste and unnecessary logistics volume. The project´s aim and objective is to identify a suitable jointing technique for joining corrugated paper without impairing their mechanical properties. With support from RISE´s employees and their test laboratory, RISE has produced a report showing that our technology holds "The bending stiffness of a panel was unchanged (or slightly increased), this is one of the most important characteristics.

Expected long term effects

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** Results and expected effects for joining corrugated cardboard are shown in RISE´s test report. The jointing technology that we most believed in is the one that meets the eligibility requirements that the packaging industry places on corrugated packaging. The project has also given us the opportunity to evaluate other jointing techniques, which has given us increased knowledge in this subject. With our results we will be able to continue working with our customers to build a complete system. The only concern, the joint technology, has been resolved.

Approach and implementation

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The work has been carried out by internal staff Christian Nordin, Per Hallendorff, C-CAD and RISE. To help us, we have within the project purchased and built a test equipment, a melter with accessories, linear control and PLC control etc. Preliminary tests have been done at C-CAD and final tests have been carried out by RISE. RISE has summarized a report with results of the tests carried out.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
