Important results from the project
The purpose of the project has been to enable the researcher to increase their knowledge and understanding of the challenges regarding introducing new materials in existing production systems for industry, and create a larger industrial network for the researcher.
Expected long term effects
The result of the project is a larger industrial network for the researcher, along with a deeper understanding of the challenges that industry faces with regards to introducing new materials in existing production systems. An increased collaboration between the academic partner (the university) and the industrial partner is also a result from this project.
Approach and implementation
The project has been performed through the researcher being placed as a project coordinator at the industrial partner, for a shorter prestudy project during the fall of 2016. This first prestudy project has been documented, analysed and presented to the industrial partner. A second prestudy project has been observed through the fall of 2017, to follow up on insights gained through the first prestudy project.
