ArgusEye - Prototype validation and business plan implementation

Reference number
Coordinator ArgusEye AB
Funding from Vinnova SEK 900 000
Project duration January 2019 - February 2021
Status Completed
Venture Innovative Startups

Purpose and goal

The project´s objectives were to carry out an external validation of the company´s product prototypes in large-scale production of biological drugs and to initiate discussions with investors and future partners. Extensive internal tests of the company´s product prototypes have been performed on relevant material, in addition, two external validation studies have been conducted at TESTA Center in Uppsala with good results. This has resulted in in-depth discussions and collaborations with potential future partners and customers. Both goals of the project have thus been met.

Expected results and effects

The extensive internal and external tests have resulted in a greatly expanded data package, which is crucial for establishing contact and trust with investors, future customers and partners. The project has been very important for the company´s early development and has brought vital information to the company´s continued product development and market establishment. The project has resulted in increased knowledge (know-how) and a new patent application.

Planned approach and implementation

The Corona pandemic has affected the implementation of the project since several of the planned external validation tests have either been canceled or postponed. This has led to more internal tests being performed on relevant material provided by an industrial partner. However, the two major external validation studies conducted at TESTA Center have generated sufficiently interesting data to generate interest from investors and potential customers/partners.
