Purpose and goal
The aim and goal of the project were to validate the market needs, develop a business model, and develop a first MVP/prototype in order to demonstrate our service and getting customer feedback. By participating in this Vinnova funded project we have reached all our goals and we have also collaborated with farmers and agronomists that want to participate in our pilot studies during this growing season. Besides this, we have also strengthened AgriOpt´s brand, been interviewed by agricultural magazines and become an innovative actor with the aim of helping farmers create value from data!
Expected results and effects
We have developed a business model which is described using NABC and a business model canvas concept, including an analysis of channels for marketing and selling, and a pricing model. We have also developed an early MVP to demonstrate our technology to potential customers, and it has received a lot of positive attention from them. Due to this MVP, it is possible to receive customer feedback and develop our service further using a user-centered approach. During the project we have taken a big leap towards our long-term goal to become a leading provider of data analysis tools for agriculture.
Planned approach and implementation
Overall, the project has mainly involved people in AgriOpt´s team. However, some external resources have been used as support. During the project we have started important collaborations with farmers, agronomists, and experts in technology and agronomy. These collaborations facilitate close contact with potential users and customers. Hence, all tasks in the project has been performed with a clear user-centered mindset. The project has involved a variety of competences and connected people of different backgrounds and experiences which facilitates innovation and development!
