    Biobränsletekniskt Centrum (BTC) is an open test bed for research, development, innovation and demonstration of processes for refining and converting biomass.

    Fulfils assignments for companies, institutions and academia, both nationally and internationally, and offers scale-up and verification of R&D from the lab and pilot scale, generation of design documentation and cost calculations for full-scale facilities and the production of large quantities of material for commercial tests or additional processes.

    Future Eco

    Future Eco has, through every owner company and their partners, a series of interesting project ideas and customer and collaboration contacts that we further develop by building up almost full-scale demonstration and test facilities and by implementing full-scale pilot projects together with clients.

    Green Cleaning

    Green Cleaning aims to support and drive both the development and use of new environmental technology and environmentally smart procedures for cleaning and disinfection in the food industry. Green Cleaning’s main elements are tests, verification and validation of products, services and processes; supplemented with training, certification and networking.

    Högspänningslaboratorium (pdf)

    The lab is a resource primarily to provide traceability for high-voltage metrology. This means that the environment can be utilised for all types of development tests and demonstrations requiring a high-voltage AC or DC environment. The lab also has unique metrology resources available to companies or institutions wishing to utilise the environment.

    IVL develops new solutions to environmental problems, both at the national and international levels. We work with applied research and assignments for an ecologically, economically and socially sustainable growth in trade and industry and in the rest of society.

    Conducts research and provides services to academia, society and industry. The focus area for research at SP ETC is thermochemical conversion processes, and the services offered relate to combustion, gasification and biorefining technologies.

    Nationella testbädden för innovativ strålterapi

    The test bed offers an entrance to coordinated studies in a clinical environment at all Swedish university hospitals. We welcome innovators from trade and industry, healthcare or research with a view to a national or international market.

    We offer a structured opportunity to test products, services or work methods in health care in municipalities and regions. The tests are done in a methodical and safe way together with real users and in real environments.

    Acreo Fiberlab is an environment for creating new or improved processes and products in the field of fibre optics. We have a focus on manufacturability and function through all development phases. The core of our ToD environment is a cleanroom for the development of specialised optical fibre. Around the cleanroom are resources for research, development and small-scale production of optical fibres, components and systems.

    Cleanroom environment specialising in semiconductor processing that is jointly run with KTH as part of Myfab. Acreo runs its own lab.

    The world’s brightest synchrotron radiation facility and Swedish national laboratory for accelerator physics and research using synchrotron radiation.

    The purpose of the test and demo environment is to facilitate research and development at an industrially relevant scale and to facilitate evaluation of critical process equipment. The transportable demonstration factory is specifically geared towards the paper and pulp industry.

    At FOI, there is access to a great range of optical equipment and measurement possibilities. For field measurements, there is a large trailer with the opportunity to perform measurements on site. With us, you can carry out radiometric calibration of passive optical imaging sensors in all spectral areas, from visual wavelengths to thermal infrared wavelengths. The laboratories also include software for performance calculations and the modelling of physical genomes related to optoelectronics systems and corresponding components.

    Printed Electronics Arena Manufacturing, PEA-Manufacturing, is a test environment for the development and small-scale production of Printed Electronics and is run by the research institute Acreo.     We have extensive experience in the optical characterisation of various types of materials. Besides bulk materials and coatings, we can measure on powder and liquids. Surface properties such as spectral reflection, or transmission, from the ultraviolet (UV) to far into the infrared (IR) wavelength area, can be measured using spectrometers equipped with various accessories. We also have a comprehensive reference library with spectra for materials identification.

    The focus of this pilot project was to further develop SP’s test beds for the durability testing of wood products to also include the testing of other biobased construction materials.     Characterisation of the properties of different types of fuel wood, such as fibre dimensions, density, microfibril angle, wood stiffness and chemistry. The lab has also recently acquired an NIR scanner for imaging spectrometry, which is used on wood, but also on paper, cardboard, sheet metal, etc.

    ElectriCITY is a citizen-driven innovation platform in Hammarby Sjöstad in Stockholm. The goal is to create the most sustainable and environmentally friendly district. It is also a testbed and demo city for new sustainable solutions, free to copy for other district or municipalities.

    The purpose is to collaborate with higher education, research institutes, environmental technology companies and municipal treatment plants to develop new solutions for municipal water treatment. Cleantech companies can also have their products tested in a realistic environment.

    Human Factors-labb

    Human Factors-labb is an experimental simulation environment consisting of a motion platform and simulation software. The motion platform is suspended on six electrically powered pistons and driven by a physics engine linked to the platform. The platform can host different models, such as operator environments for various craft with realistic instrument panels and steering equipment to resemble, e.g., a helicopter and flight cockpit or the driver’s seats of various vehicles.
