We help you reach out within the EU
At Vinnova's office in Brussels, SWERI, we support Swedish actors who are interested in EU funding in research and innovation. We have a large network and knowledge about research programs and funding opportunities. We will help you navigate research and innovation in Brussels.
Your support in Brussels
Vinnova's and the Swedish Research Council's joint office in Brussels goes by the name 'Sweden's research and innovation office in Brussels', SWERI. In today’s policy landscape, impact is often made through personal contacts. Thus, we find it important and useful to be on-site in Brussels. We have a large network and can help you with contacts to various research and innovation stakeholders in Brussels, as well as navigating the EU institutions.
We strengthen Swedish innovation
We want to strengthen Swedish research and innovation by acting as a link from Sweden to the EU and its institutions, and promote the interests of Swedish actors within the European research and innovation programs. We do so by following and analyzing developments in European research and innovation. We also participate in and organize conferences, seminars and meetings.
The office is a member of IGLO, an informal network of Brussels-based research and innovation offices from 26 European countries. Through the network, you can search for partners for research projects. We have included a link to IGLO’s website further down on this webpage.
Contact and visit
You are welcome to contact us with your questions. It is also possible to book a physical meeting in our office to discuss EU’s research and innovation programs and policy matters. Depending on availability, we can provide temporary working spaces in our premises. Please contact Isabella Ismail in advance.
