Information
We help you reach out within the EU
At Vinnova's office in Brussels, SWERI, we support Swedish actors who are interested in EU funding in research and innovation. We have a large network and knowledge about research programs and funding opportunities. We will help you navigate research and innovation in Brussels.
Your place in Brussels
Vinnova and the Swedish Research Council's joint office in Brussels is called 'Swedish Research and Innovation Office in Brussels', SWERI. The office has a large network. Today, influence is mainly achieved through personal contacts, and it is therefore important and useful to be on site. We help you with contacts to various research actors active in Brussels, as well as finding your way within the EU institutions.
We strengthen Swedish innovation
We want to strengthen Swedish research and innovation by acting as a link from Sweden to the EU and its institutions, and promote the interests of Swedish actors within the European research and innovation programmes. We do this by following and analysing developments in European research and innovation. We also participate in and organise conferences, seminars and meetings in the area.
The office is a member of IGLO, an informal network consisting of 26 European countries' research and innovation offices in Brussels. On the IGLO website you can, among other things, search for partners for research projects.
Contact and visit
You are welcome to contact us with your questions. It is also possible to book a meeting at the office to talk about the EU's research and innovation programs and policy issues. If space permits, you can also borrow a seat to work - WiFi is available on the premises. Please contact Isabella Ismail in advance.

We are located on the 4th floor of Nordic House, Rue du Luxembourg 3, right next to the Trône metro station. Our premises are close to the European Commission's Directorate-General for research and Innovation, Svenska EU-representationen and the European Parliament.
From the airport there are a couple of different options for getting to the office.
Train: On weekdays, direct trains run from Brussels Airport Zaventem to Bruxelles Luxembourg station, which is a 10-minute walk from the office. You can buy tickets from a machine at the airport or online.
You can also take the train to Gare Centrale and from there either walk 15 minutes to the office or take bus no. 38 to the Trône/Troon stop.
On Abbot Liljero's website you will find information about tickets and departures.
Bus: No. 12 (no. 21 weekends and evenings) goes directly from the airport to Trône/Troon.
Taxi: From the airport to the Brussels office, a taxi costs around €50. Before you get in the car, check that the taxi driver accepts card payments as this is not standard.
Welcome!
