Eureka Globalstars call withTaiwan

Do you want to collaborate in high technology and circular economy with Taiwan, Finland, Singapore, Austria and the Netherlands? Here is an opportunity for both large and small companies, universities and research institutes to create international R&D projects with funds from funding agencies in Sweden (Vinnova) and the other participating countries in the call, through Eureka network projects. The projects that are funded must have the potential to develop a product, process or service that can be commercialized. You apply to Eureka between April 20, 2026 and September 15, 2026 at 5:00 PM, and to Vinnova with your national application between April 20, 2026 and September 22, 2026 at 2:00 PM.

Who can apply?

Each project consortium must include a company from Sweden and a company from Taiwan. Companies and organizations from other countries in the call may also participate. Research institutes and universities take part as project participants.

How much can you apply for?

Maximum funding per project is 3,000,000 SEK (approximately 276,855 Euro). SMEs can apply for up to 50%, large companies up to 30%, and universities and research institutes up to 100% of the eligible costs.

      Vinnova's general terms and conditions for funding

    • Swedish participants can apply for funding according to Vinnova's general terms and conditions for funding. state aid rules apply to organisations carrying out economic activities. The rules on state aid for research, development and innovation are set out in the European Commission's General Block Exemption Regulation No 651/2014 (GBER). In this call for proposals Article 25 of the GBER applies with support for industrial research or experimental development.

      The following funding levels apply:

      • SMEs up to 50 percent of eligible costs
      • large companies up to 30 percent

      Maximum funding per project is SEK 3,000,000 (approximately EUR 276,855).

    • You need to apply to both Eureka and Vinnova.

      1. Create an account and apply via Eureka's application portal no later than 2026-09-15, 17:00 CEST.
      2. Apply to Vinnova no later than 2026-09-22 14:00 CEST. To apply for funding, you need to log in and fill out a proposal in Vinnova's e-service for applications.

      The form contains questions about the project, participants and budget. Do not include a budget for international participants in proposal to Vinnova.

      Complete international Eureka proposal with all partner forms, signatures and a Gannt chart of participants and work packages is attached to proposal to Vinnova. Also attach a CV for the project manager in the Swedish part of the project.

    • Once your proposal has been registered, we will email a confirmation to the person responsible for the user account, as well as the project manager and the signatory. This may take a few hours after the call for proposals closes. If you have not received a confirmation within 24 hours of the call for proposals closing, please contact us.

      Once the call for proposals is closed, you cannot change or fill in any new information. You can only supplement your proposal if we ask you to.

      Who can read your proposal?

      Applications submitted to us become public documents. However, we do not disclose information about the company's operations, inventions or research results if it can be assumed that someone will suffer financial damage if the information is disclosed.
