Enabling technologies and processes for bio-based products

In this call, BioInnovation finances projects that develop new or further develop processes for a circular bioeconomy. The goal is for the projects to create the conditions for an increased amount of bio-based products on the market and an efficient use of the bio raw material. The production of competitive products from bio-based raw materials requires the development of new and existing processes. High production costs with existing technology currently inhibit investments in bio-based alternatives. Processes are also needed that ensure correct and stable product quality, even though there are variations in the composition and quality of the raw material.
