Eureka Globalstars: Collaboration with Japan in 6G, Connectivity, Open High-Performance Programmable Networks and Open RAN
This is an opportunity for both large and small companies, as well as academia. National funding bodies from Japan, Sweden and fourteen other participating countries provide funding for organisations seeking international collaboration. You can apply between 14 October 2025 and 21 January 2026. Applications must be submitted to both Vinnova and the Eureka portal.
The offer in brief
What can you apply for?
Research and development projects within 6G, connectivity, open, high-performance programmable networks and Open RAN leading to the development of a product, process or service for commercialisation and implementation of project results.
Who can apply?
Each project consortium must include at least two organisations, one from Sweden and one from Japan. It is also possible to include additional organisations from the other fourteen countries participating in the call.
How much can you apply for?
Small companies can apply for up to 50% of eligible costs, medium-sized companies up to 40% and large companies up to 30%, universities and research institutes can apply for up to 100%. Maximum funding is 2.5 MSEK and project duration is 36 months.

How to apply
To apply for funding from us, you need to fill in a longer application, which we then assess in competition with others. If we decide to finance your project, you need to report to us how the project is going, so that we can see that you carry out the project as you described in the application.
