Important results from the project
The project strengthened Sweden´s position as an innovative force in XR storytelling. We brought together artistic research and education with relevant industries in closer dialogue, contributing to the country´s capacity to produce innovative educational and entertainment solutions. We have actively promoted gender equality in internal processes and external results, creating XR environments and stories where all genders can participate on equal terms (Objective 5 Gender equality Agenda 2030).
Expected long term effects
Through collaborations, the project provides American actors, among others, with access to unique creative methods and new ways to leverage social VR platforms to engage users and create more dynamic stories. By consciously working within environments designed for queer expression, we explore and develop narrative formats that challenge traditional gender roles and stereotypes. This ultimately contributes to a more inclusive and representative storytelling within XR.
Approach and implementation
October, November. Weekly meetings, planning for USA, contacts and pre-production of participant event (prototype) in VR. Developed project plan with objective and strategies. December. Visit USA, meetings. Adjustment of plan for prototype. Started manual/guide. Participated in events at Nordic Innovation House and focused on establishing at least one strong collaboration. January. Production and completion of materials. Presented the project at SKH´s research week. Write proposal Step 2.
