Important results from the project
Participation in a bilateral workshop with the intention to define key areas for joint Research and Development. The follow ing areas was defined as prio between the parties as a preparation for the meeting: - Health - Mining - ICT A prio list was defined and should be further discussed during the meeting in April 2016.
Expected long term effects
Workshop to enhance research and collaboration between Sweden and South Africa. The workshop was well attended and we got a lot of opportunities which we will continue to further detail. Areas like e-mining, Health, ICT and Research Infrastructure opportunities was discussed. Further detail to be discussed at the next meeting scheduled for April 2016
Approach and implementation
The workshop was held during 3 days and included an event at the Swedish embassy and as well a visit to a Science park. The workshop worked well and we had the opportunity to further discuss our areas at the visit to the Science Village and as well at the embassy.
