Important results from the project
The project has to some extent made visible digitization as part in the creation of digitized cultural heritage but above all deepened our understanding of the fact that digitization is not a neutral process but strongly related to norms and the context of digitization. The goal that through a combination of knowledge of intersectional perspectives and knowledge of the norm critical design techniques create a simpler tool has been more than fulfilled. A simpler design tool has both been developed and tested and experienced as rewarding of the participants in the project.
Expected long term effects
The expected result on the basis of the purpose and objectives have been met and exceeded, in that all planned activities have been implemented with good results and it is also within the scope of the project has taken another step with a simple generic design tool to problematize the relationship between digitization and enforcement of exclusion.
Approach and implementation
The set-up of the seven phases that can be roughly divided into an introductory part with a contextualization of the digitization of cultural heritage and a final section with a workshop on norm critical design methods have proven to be successful. In the analysis of the results it is shown that these parts enrich each other and that it was important that together with the workshop participants reach the deepening and concretization as the design tool that was developed gave.
