Purpose and goal

Öppna Data i Skolan - this part of the project was about raising awareness on the topic of open data in school and how it can be implemented in school.

Results and expected effects

the Wearable Tech Hackathon was a place for hackers: they used skills and together, came up with a prototype of what could be the next coolest Wearable Technology product. These goals were exceeded for the weeks activities as a whole, and were met for the Hackathon. The event Öppna Data i Skolan attracted 15 people, of which almost all were teachers. First there was a talk, that was then followed bu a long discussion between the participants and the speaker on how to work more actively with open data in their role as a teacher.

Approach and implementation

FORMAT The Hackathon happened over 24 hours. Hackers were assembled in teams of max. 5 persons, skilled matched. Snacks, drinks and food were offered during the Hackathon. The hackathon went on until 12:00 on Sunday, when winners were announced and awarded. These goals were exceeded for the weeks activities as a whole, and were met for the Hackathon. Öppna data i Skolan: this event was arranged as a seminar + breakfast. First the breakfast was served and the attendees could mingle and then the speaker Marie Gustafsson Friberger gave a 1 hour talk.
