Important results from the project
The purpose of the project was to develop a prototype for VR-training that Lernia can apply to improve competence in Swedish industry, and which Gleechi will use to build a scalable business. In the project, we have analyzed industrial companies´ needs in terms of competence development and identified and verified how these can be met with the help of Virtual Reality technology. We have found what areas to focus on, and built a technical foundation for a scalable business.
Expected long term effects
In the project we have managed to show that there is a great interest and relevance in using VR for training in industry. We have received positive feedback from both management and end users in industry. We have also developed a business model that has been verified by a number of industry actors.
Approach and implementation
Early in the project, we focused on identifying the challenges of industrial companies. During the project we have built a VR solution to meet these challenges and have developed a business model. The project has progressed according to plan with a number of minor changes. We decided early in the project to change industry partners to BillerudKorsnäs after we found clear and relevant applications in the VR training business.
