Purpose and goal

The overall purpose with VIPPS (VIPP Spridning) has been to develop and validate activities that enable dissemination of results from previous projects regarding how to accelerate open digital innovation with the support of contests. The project has achieved this goal through the design and application of four separate dissemination activities.

Expected results and effects

The communication channel "www.opendigitalinnovation.com": designed and launched The coaching-program for industry partners: designed and validated in collaboration with two representatives from each partner firm The roadshow: designed and validated engaging 120 participants in the events performed in Sundsvall, Göteborg, Stockholm and Karlstad The professional course: designed and validated in collaboration with DF-kompetens engaging 20 participants in the three day course. A new version of the course is planned for fall 2019.

Planned approach and implementation

The project has been anchored in the model and toolbox presented in Open Digital Innovation: A Contest Driven Approach (Hjalmarsson et al. 2017). Anchoring the project in the book has enabled the project to develop differentiated activities to spread the value of the toolbox to different target groups. The model used to organize the dissemination activities has supported the project to structure the work packages, and, as it has an emphasis on measuring effects, to assess the output from the activities and stress how to maintain the activities post-project.
