Important results from the project
The project successfully paved the way for a Swedish quantum technology excellence cluster. The main result is having gathered Swedish actors within quantum computing, making us ready for a joint national application. Furthermore, important relationships were built with AI and computing infrastructures, and international actors, particularly in Singapore. Together with a new strategic report, this creates the foundation for a very strong future cluster of excellence.
Expected long term effects
In the long term, the project is expected to lead to a highly competitive Swedish excellence cluster in quantum technology. Additionally, the networking efforts have laid the foundation for a significantly stronger and more interconnected Swedish quantum technology ecosystem.
Approach and implementation
The core of the project consisted of three major workshops where stakeholders discussed the requirements and expectations for a Swedish excellence cluster in quantum computing. In addition, weekly online meetings were held to coordinate both the internal project work and with the other national efforts for a quantum cluster of excellence.
