Important results from the project
The project strengthened Vimotek’s ability to develop a long-term dual-use strategy for its space technology. Through the accelerator programme, the company deepened its understanding of defence needs, market logic, regulation, export control, IP and positioning. The work complemented the parallel technical development and provided a clearer basis for continued business and product development.
Expected long term effects
The project is expected to strengthen Vimotek’s ability to operate across both civil and defence-related markets. Better understanding of requirements, regulation, partnerships and market logic supports future product development, business opportunities and participation in Swedish and European initiatives. In the longer term, this contributes to stronger Swedish and European dual-use capability in the space sector.
Approach and implementation
The project was carried out through Vimotek’s participation in the accelerator programme with UIC. It combined joint knowledge-building activities with targeted work on defence needs, military requirements, market logic, export control, compliance, IP and positioning. The activities ran in parallel with the technical development project, allowing the strategic work to be linked to concrete technical and operational questions.
