Purpose and goal
Vimotek equips teams at leading space companies with solutions that de-risk and accelerate missions involving rendezvous and proximity operations—enabling scaling of in-orbit services. This project centres on our OrbitTwin simulation software and adapting it for military use cases. The goals are to map the market, develop a prototype, produce three relevant demo scenarios, and strengthen Swedish and European military capability in space.
Expected effects and result
Deliverables: a market assessment for military RPO/SSA/SAP needs; a defence-grade OrbitTwin prototype; three demo scenarios proving risk reduction, faster missions, and scalable in-orbit services; materials for customer pilots and procurement. Effects: stronger Swedish and European space capability and improved industrial competitiveness.
Planned approach and implementation
Phase 1: needs analysis with defence stakeholders; define requirements, objectives, risks. Phase 2: adapt OrbitTwin (sensor and threat models, security) and integrate into a demo environment. Phase 3: build three scenarios and run simulations plus HIL/MIL demos. Phase 4: evaluation, cost–benefit, and plan for pilots/procurement. Governance: sprints, milestones, risk log, ethics and security reviews.
