Purpose and goal

The purpose and goal of the project was to present solutions and answers to questions in three different defined areas: Grid connection, Material properties of the Vigor hose and Competitive Advantages of Vigor Technology. Some of the results will be used to attract new investors to the company while others will reduce risk with Vigors first offshore prototype, V1. All sub goals have been achieved except for one detail: calculation of life of the Vigor hose has not been completed but has been replaced by information on similar applications and life of hoses in these applications.

Results and expected effects

The various studies have contributed to increased knowledge within the company. An even greater confidence in the technology has been gained through discussions of advantages and possibilities with the technology. Expected effect of performed project is that Vigor´s first offshore prototype, V1, will be successfully deployed. The work performed concerning grid connection and hose investigation will be used directly in the project. The investigation on the competitive advantage will be used in future business presentations for potential new investors and partners.

Approach and implementation

Method for the studies has varied for the different subprojects in this project. Where found necessary external expertise has been used. Meetings with suppliers and experts have been conducted where the application has been presented and various possible solutions discussed. Simulations and calculations with different purposes have been conducted and results have been discussed. The Vigor concept is presented in detail both in terms of technology but also in terms of suitable locations and wave climates.
