Important results from the project
The project aimed to enable the efficient qualification, verification and validation of ideas arising from the university´s activities, which has also happened. A large number of ideas have been able to be tested regarding technology/method, market and business and several have been put to good use via incorporation and other forms of knowledge dissemination. Not all goals are met but the pandemic and other factors such as the caracteristics of received ideas has affected the possibility to do so.
Expected long term effects
The results and the expected effects from the project are good. Although not all goals have been met, the VFT funds have helped many researchers and students to investigate the potential of their ideas. A large number of ideas have been verified, which has a high value as the experience from the process gives the idea owner insights into what is required for an idea to work in reality. Some have also gone on to commercialization and created jobs and strengthened our country´s competitiveness.
Approach and implementation
We have been able to effectively carry out the verification work with good throughput and the VFT funds are absolutely decisive for that outcome. A large variety of verification activities together with learning within the group has resulted in adapted and improved processes and routines which have improved continuously, and led to efficient operations.
