Purpose and goal

The project aims to, through verification, continue to strengthen the innovation power at Malmö University towards utilization and commercialization. This takes place with advice and coaching from the innovation advisors to researchers, doctoral students and students. Our work is also the basis for the next step towards investment from our holding company and possible access to a suitable incubator nationally or internationally.

Expected effects and result

The project will provide important opportunities to bring forth new future innovations from Malmö University. The funds together with other support at universities provide the conditions. We also see that the project will give the opportunity to already started investments to provide the important opportunities needed to move those important steps in order to really be able to create social benefit and contribute to growth and social improvements.

Planned approach and implementation

We have divided the assessment of applications for verification funds as follows: Decisions up to SEK 75,000 are handled by an internal handling . Decisions over SEK 75,000 are being prepared for a presentation to a VFT panel consisting of representatives from MINC, SmiLE Incubator, Medeon Science Park, ALMI Skåne and Mau holding. Should we have decisions over SEK 300,000, we will prepare a group of colleagues at other innovation offices to step in and provide support in those assessments. Decisions are made by the head of Mau innovation after preparation by the innovation advisor.
