Purpose and goal

The aim of the project was to map our market and understand it better and to gain an understanding of more markets than Telecom. Through our market verification, we have been able to see that the automotive industry is the industry that has the most need since it´s not as digitized as Telecom and therefor a better market for us to start working towards. The purpose of the project was to find the best way and channels to enter the market, which we achieved through our market verification.

Expected results and effects

We have developed various business models that thru discussions has been verified with the industries, this has led us in the decision with which business model to proceed with. We have also looked closely at how the purchasing process in the automotive industry and Telecom industry looks and how we can handle the diversified processes. Through our lessons learned about industries, we now know which industry we should focus on. We´ve also established contacts in the industry to facilitate the process when our software is ready for sale. We also see better scalability in this industry.

Planned approach and implementation

We started the project by identifying which test leaders we need to interview in various industries. These interviews were conducted with the aim of gaining knowledge about the differences and similarities of the industries. We found major differences in purchasing and project development, so we chose to proceed primarily with an industry, automotive. For this industry, we have also discussed different business models with test leaders to gain a good insight into the purchasing process. We have done a survey of potential buyers and purchasing processes in the automotive industry.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
