Coordinator Stuns Stift F Samv Mel Univ i U-A Näringsl & S - Stuns Stiftelse Upsala Science Park
Funding from Vinnova SEK 8 001 000
Project duration December 2021 - June 2025
Status Ongoing

Purpose and goal

Verification funding to lower the thresholds for companies to generate knowledge and expertise themselves. We increase the chances of creating system transformation in bioproduction at a higher level at the same time as we accelerate the development from research to commercialization - and create the basis for sustainable growth.

Expected effects and result

The path from research results to product in the market is shortened and simplified. More SMEs are given opportunities to grow and become more attractive for investment. Technology-based companies are opening up to the life science market. Foundations are created for more viable growing Swedish companies in the field of biological production, both in biology, but also supporting technologies such as technology and digital projects.

Planned approach and implementation

After the project, a) the path from research results to product on the market has been shortened and simplified, b) more small and medium-sized companies have been given the opportunity to create sustainable growth and become attractive for additional investments, thanks to the verification funds they can take part of, and c) technology-based and digital companies have also gained new openings to the life science market and an increased understanding of the importance of gender equality and diversity in sustainable company building.
