Important results from the project
A research platform between ITA and LiU has been established where new model-based and data-driven diagnostic methods have been developed, published and applied to air cooling systems, rudder hydraulics, robot joints, and flight maneuvers. A Roadmap for Human Factors analysis has been presented.
Expected long term effects
Developed diagnostic methods can lead to faster fault detection and more accurate fault isolation on aircraft systems, which can both increase the safety and cost of troubleshooting and maintenance. Enhanced methods for human factors analysis kan highlight pilot contribution.
Approach and implementation
Interesting and relevant research problems have been identified in collaboration between LiU, ITA, and Saab and joint publications have been produced and presented.
