Important results from the project
The goal of developing a prototype for a regional support structure has been met. The prototype contains building blocks for data-driven support, method management, implementation support and governance. The structure is based on existing regional and national support to municipalities but with better coordination and practical support in local work.
This project has acted as a catalyst for dialogue across sectoral boundaries and has made systemic challenges visible at regional level.
Expected long term effects
By reducing the gap between national knowledge production and local practice, supporting local actors in using data and knowledge-based methods, and offering more coherent and practical support for change efforts, more municipalities can conduct effective and accurate promotion and prevention work aimed at children and young people. Something that, according to research, can prevent many of today´s societal challenges such as crime, addiction, exclusion, violence, and mental illness.
Approach and implementation
The feasibility study has been carried out according to plan with system mapping of relevant actors, a research compilation using AI, interviews and dialogues with key actors, and a larger workshop with actors from different sectors and levels to test the prototype.
The results from the research and actor dialogues were not fully confirmed by regional and national actors at the larger workshop, a sign that system change can be challenging and requires dialogues to create consensus.
