Purpose and goal

Treesearch´s overarching aim is to create a national platform that contributes to the green transition by strengthening the competence of forest-based materials, ensuring the supply of expertise, and promoting lifelong learning. This is achieved through national collaboration on research-based knowledge development, as well as by improving the dissemination of knowledge, fostering research collaborations, and optimizing the use of advanced research infrastructure.

Expected effects and result

- An increase in knowledge and skills within academia and industry to strengthen Sweden´s innovative capacity in the field - Ground-breaking research results translated into high-tech innovations - 250 young researchers with unique expertise and tools to develop technologies and innovations in the forest industry and related industries - Support and leverage for research and innovation projects - cooperation and coordination of the research carried out in the field

Planned approach and implementation

Projektet Treesearch conducts and further develops the activities and the processes built up during 2017 – 2024. Activities are planned and carried out in collaboration in the areas of education, conferences and knowledge integration, as well as making research infrastructure available. A particular objective within the project is to provide access to the ForMAX beamline at MAX IV, as well as increase competence in using the large-scale research infrastructure.
