Important results from the project

During the project period, Treesearch has strengthened collaboration between academia and industry in the field of forest-based materials through activities focused on knowledge exchange and interaction, access to advanced research infrastructure—including specialist support and the beamliine ForMAX at MAX IV—and education. Academia and industry actively contribute to the future development of the platform, ensuring that Treesearch continues to develop and support the bioeconomy of the future

Expected long term effects

The collaboration project Treesearch provides a structured mechanism for cooperation between academia and industry, enhancing competence and increasing efficiency in development and innovation projects, including those within BioInnovation and industry-led initiatives. Treesearch therefore acts as a lever to elevate research results generated within the Platform to higher TRL levels, thereby accelerating innovation efforts within the forest industry and related sectors.

Approach and implementation

The project has conducted and further developed the activities and the processes that have been built up within the platform. Direct activities within the project have been carried out in the areas of education, knowledge exchange and interaction, as well as making research infrastructure available to support for research projects and programmes connected to Treesearch.
