Important results from the project
The goal of startup founders, angel and institutional investors, incubators/accelerators and public organizations and authorities from the Nordic and Baltic states, all with a focus on climate and deeptech innovations, to create collaborations with corresponding actors in Singapore was fulfilled. Specifically, it is the opportunity for relationship building which opens up for easier, faster and safer introduction of Swedish startups during their international scaling in Asia.
Expected long term effects
Nordic Singapore Innovation Days is the platform for Nordic/Baltic and Singaporean actors through which the exchange of experiences and perspectives will lead to future collaborations in climate innovation. I am convinced that this will lead to more successful launches in these markets and increased export opportunities for Sweden.
Approach and implementation
Visits were made to several key players in their startup ecosystems, experiences were exchanged and participation in events aiming at strengthening long-term relationships between our respective ecosystems. Important parts of the visit are thematic programs, networking meetings and matchmaking activities, aiming at connect startups, large companies and investors. Scheduling our visit to SWITCH week was an important part of providing a significantly better picture of developments in Singapore.
