Important results from the project
The summit coincided with San Francisco Climate Week, so I booked and attended several events on my own. I made valuable contacts for future projects and had the opportunity to promote my ideas to people from various industries around the world, contacts that may prove useful soon. I also got to test some of my other apps and gathered valuable user feedback as well as potential new customers. Overall, the summit expanded my knowledge of the forestry industry and led to new collaborations.
Expected long term effects
1. Potential angel investor showed interest. We will have follow-up meetings in June 2. We have a large potential customer that will potential open the door to the USA for us. 3. We got exposed to the USA forestry sector 4. We got some brand promotion in the USA.
Approach and implementation
The plan was to: - Fly to the US to attend the Forest Innovation Summit. That goal was achieved. - Promote the BeetleSense brand. That goal was achieved. - Meet potential investors. That goal was achieved. - Find potential early adopters of our technology. That goal was achieved.
