Important results from the project

The project fulfilled the goal of deepening existing contacts and creating new connections in Silicon Valley within dual-use-oriented deep tech. It provided updated knowledge and new relationships within AI, autonomous systems and advanced digital technology, and strengthened the opportunities to translate international experiences into support to Swedish startups, scaleups and innovation environments.

Expected long term effects

The project is expected to strengthen Ideon Science Parks and the Swedish innovation system´s ability to build international relationships and translate new knowledge into dual-use, AI, autonomous systems and advanced digital technology in the long term. The results can contribute to better support for startups, scaleups and other innovation actors, as well as to stronger and more long-term connections between Swedish and American actors.

Approach and implementation

The project was implemented as a focused effort with preparations for the stay, prioritized meetings and targeted monitoring of the external environment in Silicon Valley. The approach worked well and proved to provide more value than planned, as several initial meetings led to new, unplanned contacts and conversations. This strengthened the project´s results and provided broader contact areas than could have been planned in advance.
